Chip Bell to Speak at Hood Hargett Breakfast Club


CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 27, 2010 … Chip Bell, a renowned business consultant for Fortune 500 companies who has authored or co-authored 18 books, will be the featured speaker at the next Hood Hargett Breakfast Club meeting. The networking group will meet Friday, Oct. 8 at 7:30 a.m. at Carmel Country Club.

Bell is founder of The Chip Bell Group, a Dallas-based consulting practice with clients in a variety of industries including financial services, insurance, energy, telecommunications, health care, agriculture, transportation, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and publishing.

“Chip is an expert on building relationships for business success, which is perfect for our networking group,” said Jenn Snyder, executive director of Hood Hargett Breakfast Club. “His message should resonate with our members, and we expect a large crowd.”

More than 50 local and regional businesses are members of Hood Hargett Breakfast Club. The monthly events provide an opportunity for members to network with each other and entertain clients and prospective clients. At each monthly event, a local student athlete is awarded a $1,000 scholarship as part of the Liz Murray Scholarship Fund. To date, the Breakfast Club has awarded more than $180,000 to more than 150 local high school students.

About Chip Bell
In addition to his books, Bell has written more than 300 articles for news organizations and professional journals. He logs more than 100,000 air miles a year working with companies throughout the country. Prior to founding his consulting firm in the late 1970s, he was vice president and director of management and organization development for NCNB, now Bank of America. Bell holds graduate degrees in organizational psychology and human resource development from Vanderbilt University and George Washington University. In 1969, he served in Vietnam as an infantry unit commander with the 82nd Airborne Division.
