
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Jan. 26, 2012) – Chef Emeril Lagasse today opens e2 emeril’s eatery at Levine Center for the Arts. The street-level restaurant at 135 Levine Avenue of the Arts is within easy walking distance of Uptown Charlotte’s numerous art, business and cultural attractions. The Duke Energy Center, Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Arts + Culture, Mint Museum Uptown and Knight Theater surround the restaurant.
Owned and operated by Emeril, the casual American eatery draws from his hospitality in its purest form – comfort, warm service and delicious food with an easy approach. The restaurant’s opening team includes Chef de Cuisine Justin Sells, General Manager Jeff Wakem and a staff of 60 talented people from the Charlotte area. Dinner is served Monday - Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m., and until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Lunch service will begin in late February. The menu at e2 emeril’s eatery features Emeril’s eclectic twist on modern American classics, including some New Orleans and Southern-style dishes, made using local ingredients and served in a comfortable setting. The restaurant includes a large chef’s food bar, a seafood and raw bar, an open kitchen overlooking the main dining room and a patio. A cocktail bar also offers a menu of bar snacks, interesting wines, local craft beers on tap, artisan spirits, and handcrafted vintage and modern cocktails.
Complimentary valet parking is available in front of the restaurant. Self parking is also available in the Levine Center for the Arts parking garage.
