Suwanee, Ga., June 13, 2008 … Crescent Communities recently opened the 30,000-square-foot clubhouse – The Lodge – at The River Club, Crescent’s luxury nature reserve community on the Chattahoochee River that features a Greg Norman-designed golf course.
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony was June 2, and officials from Gwinnett County and the city of Suwanee attended the event. The River Club also held a black-tie gala for its members on May 31 to commemorate the opening.
“We are so excited that this state-of-the-art amenity is now open,” said John Bonanno, vice president, Crescent Resources. “The remarkable facility offers panoramic views, spectacular dining and a host of personal services for its members; we know they share in the excitement.”
The facility features a main dining room, members’ lounge, men’s and ladies’ locker rooms and a fully equipped pro shop. The Lodge also has six fireplaces and several outdoor gathering areas, including two pavilions, a screened porch and various verandas.
“The services we offer are unmatched in this area, such as valet parking and player assistants for members and their guests,” said Chris Conner, general manager of The River Club. “Facials, massages, manicures and more will be available to members who want a little more pampering.”
The River Club’s award-winning, 18-hole golf course features spectacular views of the Chattahoochee River Valley and century-old hardwoods. The course also earned Audubon International’s designation as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary golf course for its design that enhances the natural area and protects wildlife habitat.
The River Club’s other amenities include the Lakeside Family Sports Center, which features zero-entry interactive swimming pools, eight lighted tennis courts, a junior Olympic pool, a fitness center and a full-time activities director to plan events. The golf course, Lodge and Lakeside Family Sports Center were designed to blend seamlessly with the environment.Crescent’s other community in the Atlanta area is Sugarloaf Country Club in Duluth.
