Circle at Crosstown Earns LEED Certification
TAMPA, FLA., Dec. 9, 2009 … Crescent Resources Multifamily Development Group’s Circle at Crosstown earned Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
The LEED certification was given to the apartment community’s clubhouse, which features energy-efficient appliances, recycled building materials and finishes, and parking spaces for hybrid and carpool vehicles. The building also has a metal roof that repels heat and helps reduce the cooling load in summer, as well as low-emission paint that improves indoor air quality.

In addition to the clubhouse’s LEED features, each apartment unit has a built-in recycling cabinet in the kitchen and door-to-door pickup of recyclables. Bike racks are available throughout the property, numerous trees were saved to provide shade and the amount of open space exceeds the local zoning requirements.
Circle at Crosstown, which opened in March with 300 units, is Tampa’s first 100 percent smoke-free multifamily community.
