CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 10, 2010 … Optima Engineering named Natasha Herting project manager for its new Energy Division.
As Energy Division project manager, Herting is responsible for conducting energy audits, energy efficiency studies and resource conservation studies. She will also develop strategies for companies to reduce energy consumption and costs, as well as provide counsel on available financial incentives.
“Natasha is the perfect fit for our new Energy Division,” said Keith Pehl, president of Optima Engineering. “Her experience includes comprehensive sustainable engineering studies, as well as finding ways for facilities to save thousands of dollars in annual energy costs.”
Herting has a degree in industrial and systems engineering from North Carolina State University. She minored in environmental science and entrepreneurship. She has completed sustainability projects for Burt’s Bees, Inc., North Carolina State University’s Facilities Operations Department and Brunswick Corporation.
In addition to its energy audit and retro-commissioning services, Optima Engineering’s Energy Division designs renewable energy systems, such as solar photovoltaic roof panels, and conducts greenhouse gas surveys. The division’s mission is to help companies reduce energy costs and become better stewards of the environment by reducing their carbon footprint.
